Planning Engineer / Planner (Canberra Candidates only)

Job description

Proventus Group is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support a high-performing manufacturing and engineering environment.

This role is suited to someone with strong production planning, ERP/MES, material supply planning, and manufacturing process experience. You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain stakeholders to help maintain accurate planning data, identify delivery risks, and support effective production execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain ERP planning data, including methods of manufacture, component lead times, process lead times, and scheduling parameters.

  • Analyse production plans, shortage reports, resource constraints, and delivery risks.

  • Support engineering change and concession processes.

  • Monitor and sustain manufacturing execution system data and related production metrics.

  • Assist with short-term production scheduling and job management.

  • Support continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing and value stream mapping.

  • Prepare monthly planning, production, and delivery performance reporting.

About you:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar planning, manufacturing engineering, production planning, project controls, or scheduling role.

  • Tertiary qualification in systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline is a plus

  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, configuration management, warehouse/material planning, and production workflows.

  • Strong stakeholder coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

Industrial Engineer (2 roles - Canberra Candidates only)

Job description

Proventus Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support a high-performing manufacturing and engineering environment within the defence industry.

This role is suited to someone with strong experience in manufacturing process optimisation, industrial engineering, ERP/PLM systems, production workflows, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with engineering, planning, production, quality, and supply chain stakeholders to improve manufacturability, production throughput, operational efficiency, and manufacturing data integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and improve manufacturing workflows, production methods, and operational processes.

  • Establish and maintain performance standards, time studies, and efficiency metrics.

  • Support quality improvement activities and manufacturing issue resolution.

  • Analyse engineering Bills of Materials (BoMs) and manufacturing data for optimisation opportunities.

  • Convert engineering designs into manufacturable ERP production structures and methods of manufacture.

  • Support production planning, material flow, and manufacturing coordination activities.

  • Prepare manufacturing performance, cost, and operational improvement reporting.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing activities, and value stream mapping.

  • Assist with urgent manufacturing support activities impacting production delivery.

About you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering, or similar roles.

  • Tertiary qualification in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.

  • Strong ERP, Excel, and manufacturing systems experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with PLM tools, process mapping, manufacturing data analysis, and production workflows.

  • Proficiency in 3D modelling software and automation systems.

  • Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, and supply chain environments.

  • Proactive, deadline-driven, and focused on continuous improvement and operational outcomes.
